The week’s over. Hello weekend! It’s time to to wind down, relax, and forget about all the chaos from over the last few days. It can be hard to separate a week’s worth of worries from a (hopefully) peaceful weekend, but it’s possible if you just refocus your energy.

Breathe

At approximately 6pm Friday evening (or whatever time you clock out of work), take a deep breath. Your peaceful weekend starts now.

 

Have a moment of silence 

It’s ok to be quiet. Every morning, I like to wake up an hour or two earlier just to have a moment of silence. During this time, you can meditate, pray, or simply enjoy this peaceful moment.

 

Give thanks

Gratitude can do so much for your mood. Whenever life gets chaotic, I breathe, go somewhere quiet, and just think of everything I’m thankful for. What do you have now that you couldn’t be without? Be thankful for the overlooked blessings like health, shelter, love, the ability to read this post, access to internet — anything.

 

Nourish your tummy

Eat! Indulge in delicious foods that make you feel satisfied and happy. If your grub of choice is on the greasy side, enjoy in moderation. Sometimes even the yummiest junk food can leave us feeling groggy, sad, and tired. You can balance the fried stuff with fruits and veggies.

You won’t find peace while being exposed to all of those (mostly negative) energies. Free yourself from the tech world and live in the real one for once.

 

 

Sleep

Get your rest. Oversleep. Indulge in slumber. You’ll feel well-rested for the week.
